Warranty Information
We strive to provide the highest quality products and service so you can rest assured your new component(s) will provide many years of reliable and trouble free service. Although uncommon should a legitimate problem or premature failure arise we are here to help, we stock a wide variety of replacement components to get you back in service quick.
Product warranties (where applicable) are in writing on all sales receipts and Invoices and in some cases provided in product literature or brochures.
No receipt needed, we have electronic records so we can look you up in our system via name, phone number or property address to retrieve warranty information and validity.
- Electronic Parts/Components (Remote controls, Logic Boards, Safety Sensors etc.) 90 day warranty.
- Residential Garage Door Openers - Manufacturer 5 year warranty (Liftmaster Elite Series).
- Commercial Door Operators - Manufacturer 2 year warranty (HCTDCUL - 5 Year manufacturer) .
- Commercial Gate Operators - Manufacturer 5 year warranty (CSW24UL and CSL24UL).
- Residential Garage Doors - DoorLink brand furnished by FCGD 5 year parts and labor warranty - Others, 1-5 year parts and labor warranty depending on brand.
- Commercial Garage Doors - DoorLink brand furnished by FCGD 1-5 year and up to but not limited to 1 million cycles depending on build specifications - Other's 1-3 year parts and labor warranty depending on brand and specs.
- Customer purchased and provided materials (Doors, openers or repair components) Due to the influx of "knock off" parts and mis leading sellers online we do not offer any warranties on installation of customer purchased parts or components.
All parts and labor warranties are limited to normal use or in high traffic applications maintaining calculated usage and assume regular/routine maintenance is being performed.
What is not covered under warranty and/or what will VOID a warranty?
Mis-use / Abuse - Over cycling beyond equipment/component manufacturers specified rating(s), hitting a door/gate system or component with a vehicle or any object, using the garage door/gate system to crush things, operating a door/gate system with broken components, using the safety sensors to reverse a closing door/gate rather than waiting for it to complete its cycle, safety sensors are intended for safety not convenience.
Stopping a door/gate system mid travel unnecessarily, this also puts added wear and tare on all components of a door/gate system leading to unnecessary premature failure. Forced entry.
Neglect - Failure to have the the door/gate system and or component(s) maintained on an appropriate schedule. Most components should be serviced at a minimum annually or every 30,000 cycles for commercial applications. Contact us for proper service intervals of your door/gate system.
Tampering - Any party or person attempting diagnosis, repair, adjustment or forced entry of any door/gate system or component(s) outside of FCGD.
Accidental - Closing the door/gate on something, hitting the door/gate or any component of the system with a vehicle or other object.
Water Damage - Fire sprinkler discharge, plumbing leaks, water intrusion etc.
Power Surge/electrical related problems- beyond our control and or outside of the door/gate operator and or door/gate operator components.
